The Unicist Standard in Institutionalization

Institutions are organizations that fulfill the transcendent and personal goals of a group, have a mission to do so, rules to work, guidelines to drive the internal behavior and procedures to develop their activity.

At an operational level, the permanence of institutions is defined through their mission, rules, guidelines and procedures. Their members are those who accept this environment as their own and differentiate the inside from the outside of the organization. Institutions need to have a “wall” separating them from the rest of the world. This wall is defined by the mission, vision, action plans and rules that are applied.

The institution exists when the non-fulfillment of the rules is not acceptable. But this wall needs to have doors to communicate with the environment and gatekeepers to control the communication.

Thus there are four different institutional segments:

-Transcendence driven

-Value driven

-Ideology driven

-Materialistic driven

These four attitudes might be integrated in different roles within an institution.

The golden rule for generational evolution

Successors need to overcome their parents. That is the golden rule for social and individual evolution. This implies that the evolution of the next generation depends on its capacity to build upon what already exists.

Metaphorically it can be said that in evolutionary cultures the roof of the parents is the floor of their children. In involutionary cultures the roof of the children is the floor of their parents.

To build upon the existing establishment it is necessary that we all improve the implicit weaknesses of what we have inherited. Extreme competition with the inherited establishment drives to a never ending story of frustration and entropy.
