To design an adequate marketing mix, besides the necessary business knowledge, it is necessary to “speak different languages”. Factual, analytical, synthetic and operational languages are necessary to deal with the different aspects of the design of a marketing strategy. That is why the “gurus” in marketing, besides being experts in positioning, are also experts in the use of languages.
